Water Sensitive Urban Design

Integrating water cycle management into urban design

Water sensitive urban design (WSUD) is a key component of any new development design.

WSUD should be completed during the design phase of a project in conjunction with architects and landscape designers. This is to ensure that the design can be well integrated into the overall project.

WSUD is increasingly becoming a regulatory requirement for developments in order to mitigate impact on stormwater infrastructure and the environment. Clause 56.07 of the State Planning Policy requires new residential subdivisions of two lots or more to meet best practice water flow and treatment requirements.

To deliver the design, we undertake site visits, catchment analysis, options assessment concept design and detail design through to supervising construction.
